Rear Admiral Fernandez "Frank" Ponds joins Cyntient Advisory Team

Cyntient is pleased to announce the addition of Rear Admiral Fernandez "Frank" Ponds (USN, Ret.) to our team of advisors. Frank complements our team with experience and insight to help address the growing military simulation training and virtual training markets.

“Leveraging over three decades of military education and experience, with command responsibility ashore and at sea as well as Pentagon staffing assignments, Rear Admiral Ponds brings valuable guidance as we pursue meeting the needs of modern military and the $12B Military Simulation and Virtual Training Market,” says Glenn Doren, CEO of Cyntient. “Upon the public release of Cyntient AI Version 1.0 in Q1 2017, our virtual character technology will be ideally suited for creating training simulations and virtual environments that provide realistic and complex scenarios populated with lifelike military and civilian systems, people, platforms and payloads.”

A proven analyst, program manager, and strategic planner recently retired from the United States Navy, Frank served 33 years in a variety of operational and administrative positions during his military career, including: five command positions in leading joint, combined, multinational and interagency organizations; Senior Naval Advisor at the Department of State, where he oversaw complex bilateral negotiations with the United Kingdom; and spearheading the development and execution of the National Strategy for Maritime Security. His personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (four), Meritorious Service Medal (five), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the 2013 George Washington Black Alumni Association Impact Award and various other service and campaign awards.

“We know AI and simulations. Frank knows the U.S. Military, especially naval operations, how they think and the capabilities needed to generate flexible, scalable and adaptive combat power across the range of military operations (ROMO). Together, we make a potent team as we go after an important market hungry for the type of AI solution Cyntient can provide. We’re excited to bring our technology to the Military and Intelligence communities,” says Doren.
