Cyntient AI and 17-BIT's Galak-Z Impress at E3 2014

With its Sony PS4 launch just months away, the first game to use Cyntient AI impressed the crowds at the 2014 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. See what the press had to say about 17-BIT's upcoming Cyntient-powered game that is "light years ahead of every space fighter you've ever played"...

iDigitalTimes.com writes:

It is far more sophisticated than anything you've played in the genre before.
"Enemies patrol maps with ruthless AI and never blindly charge into your sight lines alone. They group up, find allies and attack en masse. And they're only half the danger... The combat tension is as nuanced and thrilling as anything you'll find in a AAA shooter."

PlayStation.Blog interviews Creative & Art Director Jake Kazdal about GALAK-Z at PlayStation's E3 2014 Live Coverage show. Jake explains: "It's all about the technique and learning how the enemies fight and how to take advantage of their distinct weaknesses. The AI is at a very high level in this game. We've actually invested quite a bit with a new startup called Cyntient, that's an AI middleware company, so the AI is really on par with something like Far Cry or Halo". Interviewer Joe Blows notes, "I was really really surprised by how well the enemy fighters were following me. Watch the full interview in which Jake and the host discuss Cyntient AI and its impact, in detail.

Galak-Z will be available for PlayStation 4 in Spring 2015.
